WebYou are right that scams are designed to appeal to the victim's greed by offering something with little or no effort. For this reason, the OP's reporting of restaurants overcharging is not really a scam, it's just overcharging. I think a Greek restaurant did this to me. It was nothing like $600 dollars, just a little too high. WebJul 7, 2024 · It is a long time problem (we have posted several times in the past). The good news is that apparently the authorities finally got tired of all the complaints and slapped that restaurant with a big fine said to be over 30,000 Euros. I assume they will quickly try to recoup that fine by ripping off even more tourists.
